Journey Friends

The JRNY Friends Internship is a hands-on ministry leadership opportunity for students who are passionate about discipleship, inclusion, and building meaningful relationships with individuals with disabilities. This internship is designed to develop students both spiritually and professionally through real ministry experience, leadership opportunities, and intentional mentorship.

As a JRNY Friends intern, you will help create welcoming and engaging environments where individuals of all abilities can grow in their faith, build community, and experience belonging within the church. Interns will gain experience in service planning, event coordination, devotional leadership, public speaking, adapted ministry programming, and relational ministry.

Throughout the internship, students will work closely with ministry leadership through one-on-one mentorship focused on spiritual formation, leadership development, emotional health, and discovering their unique calling in ministry.

This internship is ideal for students who:

  • Have a heart for people and inclusive ministry

  • Want practical ministry leadership experience

  • Desire to grow in communication, leadership, and discipleship

  • Are teachable, relational, adaptable, and willing to serve

  • Want to make a lasting impact while growing in their own faith

Interns can expect a collaborative, encouraging, and Spirit-led environment where they will be challenged, supported, and empowered to lead with compassion and confidence.
