We believe that there is so much more to Worship Pastors than singing songs, for that reason we ensure that those called to worship ministry experience a well-rounded education: gaining experience in pastoring and leading teams in addition to participating on worship teams. For this reason, students interested in our worship track will be enabled to lead a team in one of our smaller ministries: interning either through JRNYTH, JRNYA, or at one of our smaller campuses.
Worship students will receive mentorship from our ministry leaders as well as opportunities to audition for JRNY Worship at Journey Church.
Worship interns must be a returning Journey student, and have previous experience with JRNYTH, CLS, or YA worship.
I have grown a lot in both leading prayer moments and worship leading. I have learned different techniques vocally and also learned different ways to lead people into worship! I also have grown so much in leading others in prayer/altar moments - one of the biggest ones is leading others through forgiveness! To be honest, my favorite part of this internship is just all the hands-on experience I got. I learned something new and could right away apply it to the ministry that I was in.
